FOCUS
The NUP focuses on improving the quality of life by addressing urban development, decentralizing decision making, provide a guide for policy reform, and to create oppertunities for social development and private investments. The policy has five main themes which are: social integration, economic development, environmental balance, cultural identity and heritage, and institutional and governance reforms.

COMMENTS
The NUP has been formulated and OECD has reviewed the status of urban development and urban policies. Therefore, the NUP is going through two stages at the same time; implementation and monitoring.
