FOCUS
The National Urban Development Policy was founded on the Agricultural Development Led Industrialization (ADLI), Industrial Development Strategy, federalism, democratization and civil service reform. The policy focuses on strengthening urban- rural linkages, sustainable development, and democracy and good governance.
COMMENTS
The policy was formulated in 2005 by the Ministry of Federal Affairs. The Structure Plan of 2012 initiated the implementation of some components of the policy.
